THE INSTRUMENT
Sound as an expression of creativity, and the instrument as its conduit.
In the initial phase of its development, THE INSTRUMENT was referred to as THE DRUM, as the design incorporates a detachable drum at the heel. This drum allows individuals to personalize it, for example by painting its surface.
To enhance opportunities for self-expression, I incorporated holes around the frames of the original drum design. This modification allows for the use of lace and the rose to be intertwined with the drum. In the final design, I further evolved the drum concept by adding rivets to increase durability and detail. However, the frames themselves are designed to inspire users to explore creating various forms of instruments.
